The Glebe is a lovely place to sit and just relax - Orkney light spills in through windows and custom-installed sunpipes.
The five windows are each unique and true to the original farm building. Each offers a different aspect of the ever-changing Orkney scenery.
Outside, under the gable-end window is a sturdy wooden bench with magnificent panoramic views. On a clear day you will be able to see the hills of the Scottish mainland.
We share our generous washing green with Glebe visitors. Hanging washing has never been so pleasant!
The space around the Glebe is also shared by free ranging hens and a collie dog. Please take care.
Warbeth beach is a mere 5 - 10 minute walk down off-road tracks
Stromness, where the ferry from Scrabster docks, is only less than 5 minutes by car, or 20 minutes on foot.
West Coast shore hiking expeditions can start from the Glebe:
East to Stromness via Warbeth and the golf course
or;
North to some of the most stunning cliff top walks you will find.
